Cotton Tape
Many stitchers like to bind their hoop with cotton tape before use. The
tape is wrapped around the hoop so as to completely cover the wood, then
the end is sewn in. Binding the hoop helps it to grip the fabric, and prevents
the hoop marking the fabric. It is recommended that the binding is changed
for each project, or when it becomes dirty.

to completely bind each size of hoop, assuming each turn overlaps the previous
one by about half.
